Club Rules
RULES & REGULATIONS & CODE of CONDUCT
1. Except for local rules, all play is governed by the current regulations approved by the Royal Canadian Golf Association. Please consult your score card or bulletin board for local rules. Members are expected to become familiar with the local rules as well as the regular rules of golf. Please ask your Golf Professional for advice on any rule.
2. Players must not practice on any part of the golf course except at designated practice areas.
3. Each golfer must have his or her own set of golf clubs (rentals are available).
4. No alcoholic beverages are permitted on the golf course unless dispensed by the Club in accordance with A.G.L.C. regulations.
5. The club shall not be held responsible for loss or theft of golf clubs, equipment and personal effects stored at the Club’s facilities. It is recommended that your personal property be covered by your own insurance.
6. No competition or tournament may be played on the course without the approval of the Pro Shop.
7. Dress Code: All players are required to wear suitable attire at all times on the course and in the clubhouse. Dress is a personal matter and as contemporary golfing attire changes form time to time, any questions regarding the acceptability of any particular apparel can be reviewed with the professional staff. Proper golf attire is mandatory and those offending the dress code will be asked to change into suitable attire or could be asked to leave the premises. Prohibited dress for all male players includes but is not limited to: Sleeveless shirts, no shirts, fishnet shirts, shirts with garish or vulgar slogans, sweat pants, denim pants (includes all colors), cut-offs gym shorts or any shorts having an in-seam less than 6 inches. All golf shirts or mock neck shirts must have a collar. Prohibited dress for all female players includes but is not limited to: Halter tops, fishnet tops, shirts with garish or vulgar slogans, sweat pants, denim pants (includes all colors), cut-offs gym shorts or any shorts having an in-seam less than 6 inches. All golf shirts without a collar must have sleeves. All sleeveless shirts must have a collar.Please adhere to these Dress Restrictions and encourage others to do so as well.
8. Members are prohibited from certain areas in the clubhouse, specifically, behind the bar, kitchen, storage areas or behind the golf shop counter.
9. We strongly urge Members to not litter, placing cigarette/cigar butts in proper receptacles, as well as cups, cans, etc.
10. The golf course maintenance staff shall possess “right of way” at ALL TIMES, when working on the golf course. It is the golfers’ responsibility to allow our outside crew to perform their daily work in a safe, efficient fashion.
11. Players MUST NOT start from the 1st tee of any course without permission from the Golf Shop.
12. Please identify yourself as a member when phoning golf staff, as well as indicate whether your intentions are to play 9 or 18 holes. Naturally, a follow-up phone call to the shop is appreciated if your plans change. Repeated no-shows or showing up late for tee-times may result in loss of advance reservation privileges.Remember your fellow golfers:·
Repair your ball marks·
Replace your divots·
Rake the sand traps, then place the rake face down inside the sand trap·
Do not take your pull carts on the tee box or between the green and the hazards. Keep them a minimum 20 feet away from the greens at all times.·
Wherever possible, drive golf carts on paths and utilize the rough instead of fairways - 90 degree rule in effect.·
Please pick-up broken tees whenever possible and put them in the garbage.·
The practice area is provided for your convenience. When you have completed your practice in the bunker please rake the area that you practiced in. Chipping or Pitching is not permitted on the putting green closest to the Clubhouse.
The Course Marshal / Starter are empowered to enforce the Club's Rules and Regulations. Members and guests are expected to respect their authority.
GENERAL CODE CONDUCT:
Management and/or the Member Society Board reserves the right to suspend privileges of any member whose conduct negatively affects the enjoyment of fellow members and/or daily fee golfers. This includes conduct in the clubhouse, on the golf course, driving golf carts, and in dealings with golf staff.
Members use of foul language, breaking any of the prescribed rules, or acting in a manner encroaching upon the rights of others, may be asked to leave and/or may have their membership privileges suspended. Please inform the Golf Shop or Course Marshal / Starter immediately if any golfers are abusing the golf course rules or regulations.Under no circumstances shall any member abuse any employee verbally or otherwise. Any complaints about employees or the operation of the Club must be made in writing to Cole Bygrove, Owner or Cathy Burton, Head Professional. Verbal complaints will not be considered.
